FIM ART: Aki Shiroza

In case you missed the party and art show for FIM’s annual November Art + Design Issue, here are two new pieces by Aki Shiroza, whose large-scale work was originally showcased there. A graduate student and researcher at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science (who works with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), Shiroza has been creating a series that uses various marine specimen blown up from microscopic displays and digitally manipulated with vivid color to offer an enhanced view of these underwater creatures.
